x Robert M James's Stunning Work AT bGallery

Robert James is a Berkshire based practicing architect, who studied and qualified at the Manchester School of Architecture in the mid 1980s.

In 2005 Robert had the very good fortune to join an art class overseen by Neil McDonald ASEA, one of the country’s leading life-drawing and watercolour artists. Inspired by Neil’s tutelage, Robert has developed his drawing skills and now dedicates much of his free time to his passion for depicting the human form.

Most of the work is fast and representative, with the pictures aiming to capture the light and mood of the moment. Anatomical accuracy is important, but there is no attempt to record every last detail. Sometimes, less is more.
