I paint mainly citiscapes, Venice, New York and London being the favourites. To get the real flavour of the city I add collage I have collected when visiting the area to add to the painting, which could be in either gouache on paper or acrylic on canvas. This could be advertising an upcoming event or just pieces of a local newspaper. I enjoy using light and shade to add to the atmosphere, bright colours contrasting with dark shadows, even black.
