I'm excited to say that Tony and I have organised the first in a series of retreats, an art retreat in our villa in Marrakech. My dear friend, professional artist and experienced teacher Neil Drury will be leading what will be a very inspiring and fulfilling week filled with much creativity, fine eating and some relaxation and sun! We have established a time-tabled week so you think of nothing but enjoying yourself. A day in the souks in the medina might also give you a chance to find some gorgeous Christmas gifts or maybe a piece of the artwork you produce there would make a splendid present!Some experience is needed as this is a led course rather than taught but Neil will be available for guidance as well as painting himself. What a fantastic opportunity to create a new portfolio of work based on Marrakech and it's wonderful variety of scenes!
We will have some days out painting/drawing in various stunning locations as well as days at the villa with some exotic still lifes set up and an evening with Moroccan musicians playing while you draw them.
Each evening after a delicious meal, prepared by our fabulous chef and there will be an informal crit about the day, a time to share your work with each other and talk about what you have created.
It will be the most fabulous week with art, relaxation, wonderful Moroccan food and a chance to meet new people.
