I received my first real watercolour box at age 10 and drew and painted up to 'A' level. I went to Coventry College specialising in painting and sculpture but left and then worked as a screen print designer before having a family. I returned to college for 4 years, studying Textile Design and Embroidery where I was re-introduced to Printmaking.
Two years design master classes in London and print study at West Dean, Knuston Hall and local studios followed. I am a member of the Fellowship of Professional and Amateur Artist, I hold their diploma, and have just been awarded Fellowship status; and of the Northamptonshire Guild of Designer Craftsmen.
Drawing & painting since childhood, then college, I began work as a screen-print designer. Family followed, then returning to college studying textiles. Re-introduced to printmaking, my work now incorporates print, paint & stitch. Exhibitions include Birdscapes, Norfolk and The Mall & Bankside Gallery in June 2010 . My work is in private collections in Scotland, Wales, England and South Africa.
