Marilyn Allis Website selling Paint Brushes

I now have my jumbo brush. I am so proud of it, its really really beautiful. Again the most amazing point ever for such a large brush.

The pink & purple brushes are made of a synthetic mix and is ideal at holding lots of paint and keeping its shape. This very big brush is ideal for large washes, with a fantastic point to help with detail.

I have a special offer on purchasing a set of 3.

They are available from my web site  www.marilynallis.com

Deo Dutchie - www.dutchieart.com

Dutchie was born in the early 1960’s, and he grew up in a rural environment where he learnt to appreciate and admire the natural beauty of God’s creation, whilst enjoying a simple lifestyle. He is a Christian and proudly professes this choice.
As a child Dutchie always enjoyed capturing moments in his or other people’s lives on paper, sometimes in detail and other times in naïve expressed form.
Dutchie’s work, which is a combination of modern impressionistic and naive expressionistic styles, is characterised by a sense of restfulness, peace and simplicity with which he identifies himself. His love and knowledge of nature and people, and the simplicity of life, is captured in his work and his art portrays the inner tranquillity of the artist himself. He wants to create and establish his own view of art, not following what someone else has done. He does not want to paint what could be learned from others, he wants others to learn from him. He wants to be himself.
Dutchie’s work is unique, valuable and well sought after.
Dutchie is currently in the process of consolidating the Gospel and he is working towards producing 250 paintings of which their images will be captured in his book, which will be made available across the globe.
Dutchie’s works of art grace homes in Australia, New Zeeland, South Africa, Namibia, Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, Zimbabwe, Poland, Canada, USA, and Russia to mention only but a few countries.
Dutchie currently resides in New Beith, Queensland, Australia where he practices art and teaches art to people with an interest in this field. He can be contacted per phone on +61 4 0445 4740, or per email on dutchieart@bigpond.com, or through his website www.dutchieart.com

X Aurora Spain at bGallery X

http://community.saa.co.uk/art/aurora

The purpose of my paintings is to uplift the spirit and excite the eye. My new body of work, 'The Touchables' , goes a step further - they are tactile.  At the same time, my adventurous and studied use of colour deliberately reflects the optical laws of physics whereby the after-images complete the spectral effect, leaving the observer with a deeper sense of satisfaction.

X A Renaissance Christmas at the RA X

A Renaissance Christmas at the RA
Saturday 29 November, 6.30-10pm
Join us for a festive celebration inspired by our dazzling Giovanni Battista Moroni exhibition (★★★★★ Time Out).
Be transported back to the Italy depicted in Moroni’s portraits with a night of Renaissance art, music, food, drink and dance. Highlights include magnificent choral performances from The Renaissance Singers, roaming minstrels, Italian folk storytelling and more.
And it’s not just the sights and sounds of the era that we’ll be recreating...
Take part in a themed life drawing session with Art Macabre, have your own portrait sketched beside the RA’s Renaissance treasure – the Taddei Tondo, Britain’s only marble sculpture by Michelangelo, or take a special ‘scent tour’ and discover the perfumes that would have dominated the sensory landscape of the 16th century.
Tickets are £20, and include entrance to the exhibition and a bespoke seasonal cocktail inspired by the flavours of the Renaissance.

X Toulla Hadjigeorgiou's Beautiful Art X

I have been painting since I was 12 years old, turned professional in 1996.  My style of work has been influenced by the old masters with favourites being Johannes Vermeer, John Constable, Caneletto and a number of others around the time.   Mediums used are watercolour, oil and acrylic in a fine detailed style, but my aim is not to replicate a photographic image.  My watercolour painting is quite unique in that it is far from a 'wishy, washy' style.  I like to add layer upon layer of paint to produce intense, bold colour.  My work is so detailed, some complex subjects can take several weeks to complete.  I have held solo exhibitions in UK and abroad and been selected for open exhibitions.  Works have been featured in magazines such as Artists & Illustrators, Leisure Painter, Hertfordshire Life and others with interview in Italia magazine.  A number of my works have won awards, been selected and highly commended.  I run art class in my studio, demonstrate for art clubs and societies and tutor for Bucks Adult Learning at Missenden Abbey.  Main commissioned works have been of people, pet, building portraits.  I like many subjects, however, my main interest is architecture and figures which I often include in a cityscape.
I am presently working on scenes from Tuscany, all including it's architecture.  Almost completing an oil on linen canvas of three foreground figures in Volterra, a Tuscan town.  This work has taken me months to complete.

"There are a few rules in photography that can help to take your photography from nice to wow. One of the first is a basic composition rule "The rule of Thirds". On many modern cameras now you can actually put a grid on screen which makes sticking to the rule of thirds easy. The idea of the rule of thirds is to stop you putting your horizon in the middle of your image & basically cutting your image in half, very often you can end up with two images in the one photograph. Another basic com positional rule is to include foreground interest, which helps to lead you into the image. When I go to create an image I think of myself as telling a story, I take time in com position to see if I am telling the whole story of what is in front of me"

Below are a few more artists who have recently joined us:
“I work in acrylic on canvas. The starting point of my work is landscape, seen, remembered, or imagined, and recreated in varying combinations of these elements. In my painting it is landscape that defines the human spirit. Consequently the dynamics of colour combinations and their potential to convey mood and emotion are an important feature of my work, as is surface pattern and texture. I enjoy the actual experience of placing and shaping paint on canvas, and I hope anyone who looks at my work will share that enjoyment, and celebrate the world we live in."

X Peter Rusby's Beautiful Landscapes .... X

Image

I am self-taught, apart from my school days, and have been painting regularly only for three years.  I like to paint scenes or people that are attractive and interesting, adding to their visual attraction with strong colour combinations and enhanced forms. Since starting to paint regularly I have had paintings accepted for the Chelsea Arts Club and Winchester Art Club exhibitions.
