b Gallery art directory welcomes the amazing talents of Jane Glue

I haved worked as a professional artist based in the Orkney Islands, Scotland for the past twenty five years. My paintings are inspired by my surroundings, the light, colour, landscape and nature of Orkney. You can buy original paintings, prints and other products produced from my original artwor from my website www.janeglue.com and you can 'follow' me on facebook by searching for 'Jane Glue Gallery' on your own facebook page. Watercolours have been my preferred medium throughout most of my career but more recently I have been working in mixed media, often using old wallpaper and 'found' objects in my paintings. I also like to use inks in with acrylics either on heavy papers or canvas.

b Gallery art directory welcomes the amazing talents of Jesper Sorensen

I paint out of the colour themselves. I don't plan anything but allow each colour their own expression and then adding colours and balancing them out creates a colour dialogue where it is the objective nature of colour themselves that "tells" how they like to be painted.

To see more of Jesper's work and have the opportunity of purchasing or making contact with him ~ Please follow the link below where you will be taken directly to Jesper's own exhibition area a b Gallery art directory ~ Thank you

b Gallery art directory ~ Welcomes the amazing talents of Monte Wright

THE WORK OF MONTE WRIGHT

Painter and artiste extraordinaire, Monte herein establishes himself once again as an artistic force to be reckoned with. The artist’s work has changed greatly over the years, and is seldom simple. He courageously goes beyond the given and familiar, pioneering new techniques and materials in order to expand his own vision.

A master of color, Monte is equally adept in his use of pure white in his paintings. The artist’s intent is to block out the outside world in order to give the viewer space in which to roam freely. He teaches us that a painting should not end on the canvas. It should encourage viewers to create worlds of their own. And, with each and every brushstroke Monte’s work allows us to do just that.

Monte continues to show his work both nationally and internationally. His interests continue to vary in scope, from contemporary, abstract art to a series of works called ‘Behind the Mask”

EXPRESSIONISM by Monte Wright

Monte Wright is an internationally recognized artist. In 2010 and 2011 his art has been shown in New York, N. Y.; Fort Lauderdale, Florida; Florence, Italy; London, England; and Argentina.
Monte is a mixed-media artist from Kitchener, Ontario, Canada, who has shown his work for over four decades. He is well-known in Waterloo Region for his expansive murals and unique art forms. He considers himself a futurist who has always explored new and imaginative concepts. His paintings may be found in many collections throughout Ontario, parts of Canada and the United States.
Over the years, Monte has been influenced by his Christian beliefs, our natural environment and societal issues. His images welcome the mysteries of form and space through the interplay of light and shadow.
He believes that the spiritual co-existence between humankind and our earth express mystery, energy and life. He illustrates this through textured, mixed-media panels and computer-generated prints.

These expressionist, action works are objective views of our place in the universe. Subject matter is secondary to the exploration of line, space and texture which often explore the third dimension.

Monte is also noted for a series of work called “Behind the Mask”. These unique creations explore our relationship to others through colourful canvases, symbiotic collages and internationally-themed computer prints.

b Gallery art directory welcomes the amazing talents of Darney Willis

Personal Description: I began a serious interest in painting in the summer of 1967. I have been able to do some painting, and a lot of thinking about visual art concerns both formally and philosophically, and a lot of teaching visual art concerns ever since. I earned a Master of Fine Arts, in Painting, from the Univ. of Arkansas in Fayetteville, Ar., USA, in 1983; a Master of Arts, in Digital Media from the Univ. of Arkansas in Fayetteville, Ar.,USA, in 1998. I am teaching in the Art Department of NW Arkansas Community College where I started teaching in 1990. I live in NW Arkansas with my wife and two of our seven children in a beautiful house, Castle Gate, that I built with the help of my older son and one of my daughters and has been a major studio project for the last 6 years. I am also building a large painting studio which is still waiting to be finished. I am also a five-fold ministry prophet in a local ecclesia.

Work Description: I paint large scale canvases with bold invented color - lyrical and very expressive color passages of natural images viewed so very close up only part of the external contours of the particular images are seen. I don't use the internal natural details normally seen with such a view.
Currently I am painting flower images, mainly from the iris flower. These images are meant to be something other than visual illusions or mimics of iris flowers - they are intended to be metaphors or doorways into visual, emotional, and sometimes even spiritual journeys - into flowerscapes of peace, order, beauty, and unity. They are metaphors of the human condition, of the magnificent yet fragile nature of our humanity and our constant dependence on our Creator for inspiration, protection, nurturing, and restoration. I realize humans are capable of extremely ugly horrible cruel things also, which is worth addressing in paint as well. Presently my work is both a joyful celebration of living, having purpose on this earth, and bearing fruit and also addressing issues that arise on the earth from mankind leaving an intimate relationship with our Creator and thus mismanaging our stewardship of the earth.

Jeremy Turner at b Gallery art directory ~ ~In Jeremy's words about his amazing talent

A gift from Mexico started it - a painted carved wooden fish. I was struck by its

crude vitality and knew I wanted to make things like this. My personal visual

language has developed from a familiarity with many carving traditions,

particularly Romanesque sculpture and Mexican Folk-Art.

Graduating as a sculptor in 1970, I started my woodcarving business with an Enterprise Allowance Scheme grant in 1985. As well as carving dishes and bowls I started doing a lot of relief carving and lettering, so that house signs and relief panels soon became an important part of my work.

What am I up to now?

I take pleasure in working with wood, how it behaves, how it cuts with

sharp tools, the smell of it. I use relief carving to unite picture

making with the physical deliberateness of carving, combine colour with the

crisp use of light and shade, and play with shape, form, pattern, and textures.

With this language and material I explore many themes: human desire and want; conflict, intolerance, and other major issues and anxieties of our time; and pattern, number and geometry in natural forms. I bring together shapes of cars, expensive watches, handbags, perfume bottles and warplanes, to evoke joy, threat, attraction and repulsion, and a wonder at the everlasting mystery of creation. Jet planes drop lipstick bombs and cars and wheels sprout leaves and flowers.

As well as making large relief carved wall pieces, I still make carved dishes, bowls, sculptural vessels, paperknives and pendants. I am always open to enquiries from people who want something made that is special and unique.

Right now I'm completing a piece called "Greening the Wheel" ready to show at next Saturday's [ 27 October] pop-up Arts&Crafts Exhibition at 21 Adelphi Street, Central Milton Keynes, MK9, 4AE
